Digging Up The Past

It is always a pleasure to dig up the family photo album. Remembering nostalgia with family make me smile all the time. The first page of the album contains some photograph of my brother's wedding. The others pages contain photographs of my brothers, sister and myself in various stages of growth. It is quite unbelievable when things have changed and how I have grown.

The most important thing is my family. All the photographs bring back memories of the happiness and I am so lucky being one of my family members.

Among the siblings my elder brother was the closest person to me. My elder brother taught me many things. I learned fishing and how to play traditional games like flyable kites. Catching fish had its ups and downs. Happy when we managed to catch a small amount of fish and, but so bad when I became the victims of the leeches. The first time I saw a black leech on my leg, all I could do was scream and luckily my brother removed it immediately.

All the time that we spent together was a great moment and became a sweet memory.
As I turn more of the pages of the album, I get closer and closer to the present. So there are pictures of me just a year or so ago. I was a baby once and now I am a student's of University of Education Sultan Idris

Kindness, thoughtfulness for they can.

Lovable, caring there Is no doubt.I humbly say nothing compares.

Share each other's thoughts.

As convey things are Immeasurable. Sometimes we argue but then we get a long In a few.

Helping one other to rise upon hindrances.

Vast eras cannot ease such marvelous memories.

To have many friends like them Is a blessing.

For these reasons every single thing Is worthy.

I can love them until the end of time.

What is surface tension?

Water has surface tension. Water has high cohesive and adhesive. The polarity of water causes it to be cohesive and adhesive.

What is cohesion?

Cohesion is the action of like molecules sticking together to water molecules, being mutually attractive by hydrogen bond. Molecules liquid state experience strong intermolecular attractive forces. For example, the molecules of a water droplet are held together by cohesive forces, and the especially strong cohesive forces at the surface constitute surface tension

What is adhesion?

Adhesion is the action of water molecules stick or cling together to other polar molecules by hydrogen bonding.The adhesive forces between water molecules and the walls of a glass tube are stronger than the cohesive forces lead to an upward turning meniscus at the walls of the vessel and contribute to capillary action

Asid nukleik merupakan merupakan sejenis makromolekul yang terdiri daripada rantaian nukleotida. Dalam biokimia molekul ini mampu membawa maklumat atau membentuk struktur dalam sel. Asid nukleik yang biasa termasuk asid deoksiribonukleik (DNA) dan asid ribonukleik(RNA). Asid nukleik terdapat dalam semua benda hidup, kerana mereka terkandung dalam segala sel.

Pisang amat kaya dengan karbohidrat iaitu 26 gram, 2 kali ganda lebih banyak berbanding kandungan karbohidrat di dalam epal. Nilai tenaga pisang sekitar 136 kalori untuk setiap 100 gram, yang secara keseluruhan berasal dari karbohidrat. Epal dengan berat sama (100 gram) hanya mengandungi 54 kalori.Karbohidrat pisang menyediakan tenaga sedikit lebih lambat berbanding dengan gula pasir dan sirup, tetapi lebih cepat dari nasi, biskuit, dan sejenis roti.

Apakah maksud Karbohidrat?????

Karbohidarat berasal daripada perkataan daripada karbon manakala sakarida berasal daripada perkataan Yunani yang membawa maksud gula.

Karbohidrat terdiri daripada unsur-unsur karbon, hidrogen dan oksigen. Contoh karbohidrat ialah gllikogen, kanji dan selulosa.

Interesting Fact about Spider Web

Sejak sekian lama manusia sememangnya mengetahui bagaimana labah-labah ini membuat sarang. Ahli fizik telah menganggarkan bahawa sutera labah-labah ini mempunyai ketebalan sebatang pen yang mampu menahan kapal terbang. Yang menakjubkan ialah apabila kita menyentuh sarang labah-labah ini, ia adalah amat ringat meskipun kekuatannya adalah 5 kali ganda lebih kuat daripada keluli.

Fakta menarik yang saya perolehi mengenainya ialah sarang labah-labah ini diperbuat daripada sutera labah-labah iaitu seutas benang PROTEIN yang sangat halus dan kukuh.Nama protein tersebut ialah fibroin dan sericin. Protein merupakan salah satu major kelas bagi biomolekul.

Protein ini berasal daripada perkataan Yunani iaitu proteios yang bermaksud pertama atau utama. Protein merupakan makromolekul yang menyususun lebih daripada separuh bahagian sel seperti enzim, antibodi, hormon, keratin dan....

Biomolecules

From the first lecture, I learned about biomolecules.

Biomolecules can be divided into two; organic and inorganic.

What does it mean by organic?? Inorganic??

Organic molecules contain carbon while inorganic molecules generally do not contain carbon and are not biological in origin.

Example about organic and inorganic.

Organic: Tiger, Plant's leaves

Inorganic: Water, Rock

There are 4 major classes of biomolecules

1. Protein

2.Carbohydrates

3. Lipids

4. Nucleic acids

My Interview

I leaned back against the sofa I shared with two others person. Each person held either a large envelope or file in his or her hand. Everyone was nervous although they tried to look so relaxed. Actually I was so nervous too at that moment. This was my first interview.

The room that all the candidates were sitting in was air-conditioned. A girl was sitting in front of me. Deep in my heart, I did not like her although we did not know each other. She told me that this was her second interview and she was very confident to pass this interview due to her experience before. How proud she was! I just ignored her.

The door marked ‘Conference room’ opened and a young lady stepped out then she called my name. When entered the room, I saw three people were seated together behind a large long table. In front of them was a chair on which I was indicated to sit. I said good morning and one of them asked me to sit.

“Nor Fazreen Bt Kamarruddin? Please introduce yourselft,” asked the interviewer. Then I explained about myself. “You want to be a teacher? Why?” the same men asked.
“Yes, I want to be a teacher because I want to pass on all the knowledge and experiences to my students which I have attained throughout life as a student and educator,” I replied.

After the opening questions, I felt myself answering their questions confidently and spontaneously. Before left the room, one of the interviewers asked me a question, “why you did not want to be a doctor? You are Science students right?” Then I answered him, “although I am not a doctor but I know being a teacher, I can produce many doctors in the future. He was smiling at me and I shuffled out of the room after said thank you.

I felt so happy because I just finished my interview. After 1 month later, I got the result. I passed my interviewed very well. I got offered from University of Education Sultan Idris (UPSI) majoring in Biology. Now, I fell very happy because my dream to be a teacher comes true.

Definition

Few opportunities are available to casually observe and easily learn from other teachers. Little time is available to consult with one's colleagues about a difficult student, a persistent management problem, or a lesson disaster. That is what we call reflection of teaching and learning.

Worthwhile Education

University is a place where there are many people of diverse cultures and attitudes. The first things I learned in UPSI were there are so many different kinds of people. I experienced the pain and pleasure of getting to know my friends. I discovered my own strengths and weaknesses. I learn the meaning of tolerance, teamwork and cooperation. All the experiences taught me how to handle life without getting too much trouble.

I will be a teacher 3 years from now. Insya-Allah. So I must ready mentally to face any situation in the school involving my students. Sports, games and curriculum activities showed me that students have been given opportunity to involve in those activities. I must realise that not all the student are competitive because few are not. All the physiology’s knowledge that I learn in UPSI, of course as a teacher and facilitator, I will practise and guide them to overcome any problem in the future.

All I can say is my education has been worthwhile. I may not become a perfect teacher but I know I can make my students happy with my style of teaching. Deep in my heart, I know that the all the experiences in UPSI were priceless. What I am today is the direct result of my education. Thank you to all my lecturers because they prepared so much knowledge for me.

Diverse of Culture

A race is a group of people who have their own set of belief, religion, culture and other special characteristics. Members of the any races are very proud of their races and would defend what they are believed in or their way of life if they are threatened in any way.

So, when two or more races stay together in the same place, conflict are bound to occur, but the problem can be avoid if we are tolerate for each other. We in Malaysia are in this position. There are three major races here, the Malays, the Chinese and the Indians and with small ethnic groups. So far we managed very well to stay as one nation.

We learned to tolerate each other and accept their culture without any discrimination. We are come from different races. Malaysia does not have any big problems between the races. So the next thing we must do is thankful because having Malaysia as our mother land.

Yesterday, I went to Japanese festival. The festival held on 18-22 of October. I am glad to go there because I like to know more about their culture. Besides having the diverse culture in our country, it is priceless experiences to go there and got some new knowledge. Here I put some pictures that were taken by me on that day.

1. Cooperation: In the school, I can cooperate with any people and will do my best to finish any task that was given to me. I will do my job properly and ready to cooperate with another teachers without any complain because for me, if we done something cooperate, the job will be easier.

2. Honesty: honestly is the best policy in life. For me, being honesty is one of a good characteristic must be shown by all the people include teachers. If my students told and share any problem family problem, I will be honest and not tell anyone about the problem because I do not want to betray my student’s believed on me.

3. Punctual: I am a punctual person because for me time is ‘gold’. Every time that we pass through is the time that we cannot take it back. So, for every class that I attend, I will make sure to start the class on time without wasting the time.
